Case Assembly Part 2

Before using this guide, users must have a basic understanding of electronic safety procedures, including the correct handling of lithium batteries. Improper handling can result in device damage, personal injury, or fire hazards.

Battery Installation

To avoid hazards, use tape to keep the battery from sliding during transport.

Only use tapes that are specifically designed for battery securing purposes.

Decide the orientation of the battery based on the battery cable length and connector position.

Cut the battery tape according to the battery size.

The darker blue non-adhesive part functions as a pull tab for safely and cleanly removing the adhesive tape in the future.

Ensure the tape is attached in a way that leaves the pull tab accessible.

Left side with Trackpad

Position the battery away from any sharp components or protrusions to prevent punctures.

Make sure the power switch is in the OFF position.

Connect the battery to the battery socket.

Install the display mount. Verify that no objects are pressing against the battery.

Install the covers.

Remove the protective films.

Use 3 long screws (M2 x 8mm) to fasten the display mount. Do not over tighten the screws.

Right side with Trackpad

Place the battery securely, ensuring there is enough clearance for the trackpad FPC connector and keeping it away from sharp edges or protruding components to avoid punctures.

If you solder it by yourself with a trackpad breakout board, it's recommended to place and secure the little board on the left side.

Make sure the power switch is in the OFF position.

Connect the battery to the battery socket.

Place the trackpad on top of the 3D printed mount.

Install the acrylic cover on top of the trackpad.

Slide it under the left edge of the case.

Touch and feel the edge of the case.

Insert 3 m2x8mm screws. Align the plates and insert the screws fully into place before tightening them with a screwdriver.

Again, do not overtighten the screws.

Confirm if the trackpad mount is at the correct position.

Bottom Metal Ring

Remove the protective film on the metal rings.

Rubber Feet

Attach rubber feet at the corners.
